Well, it's no "Buddy Holly"...which a college friend of mine once proclaimed the best video ever. The college friend has not gone on to a career in music or video production, so I think that weakens his authority.

Nope.
Taking Warhol one step further, the internet gives people a 15 minute half-life of fame. They get some residual rippling fame effects which slowly taper off to mere google searchability nostalgia.

First of all, that video is great. I didn't get all the references, but I like the song and the video is great.
