Please, enough of the animal abuse links!
Need photos of healthy, whole kittens (not thrown against walls) ASAP!

OK Bob.
Four-day school week. 23 less days of government indoctrination.

OMG, I almost threw up reading that kitten story...
Hurrah for Senior Eduardo don Gato Mustacchio and Oskar!
Thanks, eeklund, I needed that.

Actually, they want to go to 4 days so they can keep some of the government indoctration that goes along with band, choir, theater, and sports. You know, commie group activities that teach kids to work collectively.

The high cost of diesel for school busses is one of the reasons schools are looking at four-day weeks.

An interesting sidebar to high fuel prices, from KARE (via MinnPost's Daily Glean)

We already go to school for less time than most of the world. This is nuts. The Empire is toast!!

Bob,
When I was in school we didn't need diesel for our "busses," just an unabashed hormone infusion.

heh.
The Jason's Station version of the story confirms that transportation costs were a major factor in the school's decision, BTW.

Back in the day, we walked to school ... 3 miles ... uphill ... both ways!
A bunch of years ago didn't Osseo adopt a four day school week?
Also, at least that kitten guy wasn't dressing his kitten up in Cat Prin: Japanese Tailors of Cats. Still, he's a horrible person.

Osseo has not had a four day school week.
Osseo Senior, for a short time, had a mandatory period off each day. They were so overcrowded that they asked each student to leave the campus for one period each day, IIRC. That was back in 94 or 95.

That story about the guy slamming the precious little kitten against the wall made my son and I ill. People who abuse innocent animals or children need to experience physical pain. Other cat owners and I will gladly oblige to give this guy a taste of his own medicine. Maybe other prisoners will beat him up.

A spiritual practitioner once told me I had a cat spirit. I am a cat person (regardless of spiritual assessment) and would like to bash that guy's head in.

Osseo did debate switching to a 4-day week due to funding.
According to the Trib. in November of 2001 it was debated extensively but by December it was shot down (used ProQuest).

I am with you. I wanted to puke when I heard this on the news. I hope he dies a slow painful death and suffers. He looks like your typical white trash punk.

The government schools have become a total disaster area. Anyone educated at a government school since 1970 has received a substandard education and it shows.

Actually, the guy is almost 30 years old. Couldn't really call him a punk.
He'll get justice. What goes around comes around.

I'm sure that statement is backed up by a complex thought process taught by the public schools prior to 1970. One which looks something like this:
Head hurts. Trog angry. Fire burn. Must type partisan nonsense.
He could be cellmates with the duck guy!

Proud public school and state university graduate. Much of it paid for by the government.
Given the environment they operate in and the lackadaisical parenting, I'm surprised they do as well as they do.
