So sad about that little girl. What a tragedy for her family.

ugh. what a shitty day of news. ugh.
»» Submitted by grote at 10:27 AM on March 21

Worst news in my recent memory.

God bless that poor child.
»» Submitted by bud jr at 10:30 AM on March 21

Yeah. The story about the little girl just break my heart.
»» Submitted by »»» msparber at 10:30 AM on March 21

Oh, no....I really hoped she would make it. Poor little girl.
»» Submitted by »»» justpbob at 10:38 AM on March 21

It really is a mind-crushingly sad story all the way around.

On the legal front, be glad you're not a member of the Minneapolis Golf Club.
»» Submitted by »»» aeklund at 10:41 AM on March 21

That is so sad...
»» Submitted by »»» aliecat at 10:52 AM on March 21

I thought for sure that the little girl was going to make it.
My heart goes out to her parents.

What a terrible and heartbreaking story.

Bob, from a ghoulish legal perspective, the potential exposure in the lawsuit actually went down because there are no longer huge future medical expenses.
»» Submitted by MT at 11:38 AM on March 21

The taxi driver has renewed my interest in hair styling creams.
»» Submitted by »»» edkohler at 12:41 PM on March 21

Styling cream... is that like "Jerry Curl saved my life!"
»» Submitted by Paulie at 1:05 PM on March 21

I think it might be more of "Brill Cream saved my life!"
»» Submitted by »»» Cat at 1:11 PM on March 21

Pomade saved my life. and it made my short hair look big. today.
»» Submitted by grote at 1:46 PM on March 21

Is it all faux-hawky lookin', grote?
You could be the Sanjaya of MNspeak.
»» Submitted by »»» Cat at 2:02 PM on March 21

Nope...no faux nothing...think Little Stephen
»» Submitted by grote at 2:31 PM on March 21

The girl was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and booked into the Ramsey County Juvenile Detention Center where she was awaiting charges on Thursday.

Her name was not released because she is a juvenile.

Thank God we have privacy guidelines. The public has no right to know the name of little princess psychopath, you know; in case anyone wanted to avoid her at all freaking costs.
»» Submitted by Octaneboy at 2:39 PM on March 21

Heh. As soon as I saw the word pomade that hairstyle is exactly what came to mind. Sexy grote, sexy.
»» Submitted by »»» mb21 at 2:44 PM on March 21

That pompador looks like you'd get your hands stuck in it and never get them back.
»» Submitted by »»» Cat at 2:50 PM on March 21

after further review, my hair is kinda like a salt-and-pepper version of this guy's hair.
»» Submitted by grote at 2:50 PM on March 21

Damn you. I can't believe I just got Rickrolled on Good Friday.

Unbelievable.
»» Submitted by »»» mb21 at 3:05 PM on March 21

I tend to avoid any 15 year old girls at all costs, Octaneboy. Nothing but sass and shives.
»» Submitted by »»» aliecat at 3:09 PM on March 21

Good Gawd, Grote. That hair and that dance would scare away anyone. You don't need no stylin' cream.

»» Submitted by »»» Cat at 3:19 PM on March 21

Sarah Jane out already? That was a quick 17 years.

Meh.

»» Submitted by tinnie at 4:59 PM on March 21

That song is stuck in my head again for at least a week.

Those dancers are great, though. Lemme tell you kids something. Say what you want about the 80s. Women back then were really cute. Sharp dressers, stylish.

Why does California think they can use Minnesota as a dumping ground for criminals? Return Kathleen Soliah to prison. We just got rid of Brook Busey and now this.
»» Submitted by Cranky in NE at 10:02 PM on March 21

"Why does California think they can use Minnesota as a dumping ground for criminals?"

No, Minnesota vote for me.
»» Submitted by Walter Mondale at 6:08 AM on March 22

It's about time they let Sara Jane Olson out of prison. She should never have been in there to begin with. The crime she suposedely committed had gone way past any statues of limitations. Except they think crimes against police are something special so they forgot about limitations. They are people just like anyone else. She was leading a decent family life here in Minnesota for many years and had np other problems with the law.

Really? Maybe the U.S. government should release some of those Al Qaeda members at Gtimo in Cuba under the assumption of presumed innocence, from the basis of your logic 101. Aww heck....lets give Osama, SJO, and the rest of the anti-American gang a free BBQ in Saint Paul, funded by the local DFL wigs. I'm sure Andy Dawkins, Phyllis Khan, and State Senator Sandy Pappas would kindly be invited on this so-called "wonderful" occasion to meet with their fans. (NOT!!!)
»» Submitted by Big G at 11:18 AM on March 22

Probably the first time I'll ever agree with Big G. She fled prosecution but she should be given a pass because she was successful at flying under the radar?
»» Submitted by »»» aliecat at 1:10 PM on March 22

Oh, Minnesota liberals never cease to amaze. Vote Franken!
»» Submitted by kevin at 1:19 PM on March 22

From what I recall, the whole thing was a fiasco. She was smarting off to the judge and she had a terrible lawyer defending her. Changing pleas or something. Making a nuisance out of yourself is not going to help your case.

There are militants and demonstrators who put themselves on the line and take the heat for their actions. I'm certainly not one of them, but you might be able to muster some respect for them.

The SLA were bank robbers. That made John Dillinger popular but it's not Sarah Jane Olson popular.

Dillinger had more charm.

»» Submitted by The Rat at 1:52 PM on March 22

Dillinger didn't have a cookbook either.
»» Submitted by Cranky in NE at 2:42 PM on March 22

said, 'You know I'm bringing you in for a curfew violation. Do you realize you're looking at attempted murder now?' It was then that I think it hit her, and she started to cry."

another really bright child that we can now pay for in prision. Can you say chain gangs. Mom needs to be sued and destroyed financially for raising such a peice of garbage.
»» Submitted by swandog at 2:43 PM on March 22

Whoops. Looks like Olson was accidentally released early.
»» Submitted by »»» msparber at 6:45 PM on March 22

Damn! Hillary needs her vote.
»» Submitted by »»» mazasapa at 7:10 PM on March 22

Department of Corrections people said they made mistake.

That's bad. You can say what you want about her, but there should be some consideration, here. I hope they cut her a break.
»» Submitted by The Rat at 8:47 PM on March 22

The California prison system and terrorist Sara each get themselves a Nelson Muntz over this one.
»» Submitted by Octaneboy at 12:09 AM on March 22

You mean the 20 some year break that she already got, rat?
»» Submitted by »»» aliecat at 2:00 AM on March 23

Yeah, that's what I mean. I think she needed to do some time. But she's been in six years. That's enough in my opinion.
»» Submitted by The Rat at 10:45 AM on March 23

Six years for murder, attempted murder (of cops), and going 20 years on the lam?

Uh, no.

I say 15 more, minimum.
»» Submitted by bud jr at 9:26 AM on March 24

america loves them white women!
»» Submitted by just sayin' at 9:29 AM on March 24

If it was your mom gunned down in the bank robbery, you would feel a whole lot differently about "sarah" and her six years.

I imagine you'd feel somewhat like the cops who had the bombs placed under their cars.

You sure would not feel like the whiny PC weasel you sound like.
»» Submitted by bud jr at 3:50 PM on March 24

Yes, bud. That's why family members and people who might have emotion cloud their judgment are not allowed to sit on juries. You might familiarize yourself with the way the American legal system works before dismissing the entirety of it as sounding like a PC weasel.
